Candy Barmen: Mixed News

If you pick up the book between now and then, I'll send you a Candy Barman, no charge. Just email me. Now the bad news. It appears there has been some confusion about the SIZE of the candy bar. I'm now receiving emails like this one from Eugene Krinkle (Helix, Oregon):

"Hey Barman. What's up with that! I bought your freaking book during your designated window of oppportuntity, informed you of my purchase, and all you sent me was some stinking "bite-size" (worse: "fun-size") candy bar. This is crap! What a fricking scam. I'm gonna get you. By the way, great book."

In my opinion, that guy doesn't need any more sugar in his diet. Yes, the Candy Barman is Halloween-sized. I hope that suffices.

I just finished BARMAN and it was a fantastic read! Even though I went to a Tier 4 law school (Whittier College School of Law in Costa Mesa, California), I still have high hopes to be a trial attorney! I am taking the California Bar Exam in July 2004. I was anxious to read your book consdering my son just graduated from law school and is studying for his bar exam. It was definitely a good read but as a parent, I was greatly disturbed about your glee in making sure your 14 year old brother got a taste of the seedy side of life. Fourteen for cripes sake! Wondering what your parents thought of that when they read your book? Introducing him to women who may have taken him to a private room and passed on a STD was real smart. Thank God they passed on that - had more class onviously then the person who should be more concerned about his vrother's well being. And then to purchase him a smut video, most likley showing women in degrading situations! I'm sure he got a healthy look at what he has in store for him. Just dissapointed that any big brother would be so desperate to look cool in his little brother's eyes without having a real concern for his well being. We all have to answer for our actions some day, and this may be at the top of your list.
